ATV Adventure Through Rainforest review

What the tour is like
You ride a small ATV on marked rainforest and lava-field tracks, led by a guide. The route covers more terrain than walking, passing through vegetation and over cooled lava. Some sections are steep or muddy, especially in rainy season (May–November). You get views of the cone and surrounding landscape from higher vantage points. Includes safety briefing and helmet; no prior ATV experience required.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need ATV experience?
No. Guides teach beginners everything. The machines are small (50–90cc) and speeds are low. Most tours have a mix of experienced riders and complete beginners.
Is it rough on the body?
Somewhat. Rough terrain and engine vibration are felt over 3–4 hours. You’ll feel sore muscles the next day if unfit, but nothing dangerous.
What if it’s raining?
Tours run in light rain but may be cancelled in heavy downpour. Rainy season (May–November) means muddy, slippery tracks. Dry season (December–April) has better conditions.
