Why this site exists
Every tour operator for Arenal uses warm, marketing language that leaves two false impressions: that you can climb the cone (you cannot; there is no legal route to the summit), and that you might see lava (you will not; Arenal last erupted in December 2010 and has been resting for over 15 years). Our job is to state that plainly and then explain what the tours actually deliver.
