Affiliate disclosure
Arenal Volcano Day Tours is a participant in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. When you book a tour through a link on this site, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
What this means
The booking links and widgets on this site go to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency based in Berlin. When you click one of our links and complete a booking, GetYourGuide pays us a small percentage of the tour price as a commission. You pay exactly the same price you would if you went directly to GetYourGuide and booked there — the commission does not change the price you see or pay.
How this affects our recommendations
It doesn’t. We recommend tours based on ratings, review counts, price and what we think suits each traveller. Commission rates are the same across all tours, so we have no financial incentive to push expensive options over cheap ones, or one operator over another. We’re an independent guide and our goal is to help you book the right tour, because that’s what keeps people coming back and reading our site.
All our content is factual and evidence-led. If a tour has a 4.4 rating from real reviews, we say so. If Arenal entered a resting phase in December 2010, we say so. If there is no legal way to climb the cone, we say so. That honesty matters more to us than any commission.
